Fascinating Foot Facts
Everyone loves a good fact, and so here are some to do with feet. These are regularly updated, and so watch this space. Or if you know of any interesting facts about feet, let me know and I'll add them to this section of the website.
Fact 1: The foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, 19 muscles, 10 tendons and 107 ligaments.
Fact 2: Shoe sizes were invented by King Edward II in 1324. Each shoe size is based on the length of a grain of barley, which is a third of an inch.
Fact 3: There are approximately 250,000 sweat glands on a pair of feet.
